Bam Open Air Design

The 2nd edition of the first exhibition dedicated to Outdoor Design is back among the flowery meadows of BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano

From 11 to 14 May 2022, the 2nd edition of BAM Open Air Design returns, the first four-day exhibition dedicated to outdoor design in the lawns of the Biblioteca degli Alberi in Milan.

Conceived by COIMA Image within the cultural program of BAM, a project of the Riccardo Catella Foundation, the event was born from the vision of Alida Catella to give back to the city of Milan an event that testifies to the epochal change we are experiencing and which sees in regeneration, the future of each of us is in sustainability and beauty.

During the exhibition there will be bucolic and informal talks, moderated by Lorenzo Palmeri, with special guests from the world of design, art, cinema and music, workshops for children and adults in collaboration with the Achille Castiglioni Foundation and a talk which will feature the students and professors of Domus Academy.
De Castelli takes part in the second edition as well exhibiting in its “White Circle” a micro-architecture that arises from the unique design approach of the architect Cino Zucchi. The “Sculptural bench”, made of steel in DeLabré B finishing, is a long sinuous ribbon with fluctuating heights that unfurls in landscaped spaces of BAM.
A hybrid object, which also becomes urban furniture conceived to offer visitors a friendly pause to relax.
